CIM-IMPRS Graduate Program: 16 Ph.D. positions

CiM-IMPRS is a combined graduate program of the IMPRS (International Max Planck Research School Molecular Biomedicine) and the Graduate School of the CiM (Cells in Motion Interfaculty Centre), University of Münster.

The graduate program offers excellent research and training in Molecular and Cellular Life Sciences with a solid emphasis on Imaging. The course focuses on biomedical research, but students from other disciplines like mathematics, physics, computer sciences, and chemistry are also required. The need is to work on new ways of image acquisition and analysis and novel labeling methods. The program is offering 16 Ph.D. positions.

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent or a German Diploma in Life sciences/Natural sciences (for example, Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, Pharmacy, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
  • The award date of the Master’s degree should not be more than four years.
  • The applications are open for highly qualified and motivated students of any nationality.
  • Applicant must possess adequate English proficiency. In addition, candidates not from English-speaking countries must prove their proficiency in the English language (TOEFL, IELTS, higher education in English).
  • German language knowledge is not mandatory.

  • Fill in the online application form (in English) 
  • Resume, Transcripts, and certificates are to be included in the application form.
  • Name CiM-IMPRS research groups  (1-3) where the candidate would like to work.
  • Two academic teachers/supervisors for reference letters. The referees shall submit reference letters using the code given by the application system.
  • If the application gets selected, the candidate will be called for interviews in Münster for 3-5 days.
